Mayor Replies to Gondolier Column
Note: this letter to the editor, sent from the city's email, is public at the time it is sent. Although I would prefer for the editor to receive it before including it on this site, it is available to all the media having electronic access to city information.

In his March 30, 2008 column, publisher Bob Vedder makes some good points, but he also includes some misinterpretations and misstatements. I appreciate the chance to add my views, as I was not contacted before my vi

MAYOR'S JOURNAL--RURAL AREAS IN VENICE? WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH THE AIRPORT?
Mayor's Journal. This is one in an occasional series of articles attempting to share some light on council activities from my personal perspective. It does not represent other members' views or those of staff.

Readers of this website know I have mentioned the talented Kitt and Mike Moran a number of times when they were playing in Venice regularly at the late, lamented "Blue Parrot" in the Brickyard, at various Jazz Club of Sarasota events, and more recently when the "Organic, French" restaurant, Chez Sylvie, (In retail center at Clark and Swift in Sarasota), revised the food and music policy.

So this is a combination Best Bytes and Jazz Corner piece. Kitt and Mike have moved from the l
