FAA Acceptance of "Unapproved Plan" solves major hurdle for City.
I found direct discussions with Bart Vernace of FAA led to a clearer understanding between us about the FAA's requirements and the City's position than had been the case through various intermediaries.
This led to his suggestion that we forward the plan with a cover letter indicating it was not approved by the City and that we were not requesting FAA action.

Unproven Allegations Warrant Public Reply
editor's note: this message was sent from the city email to representatives of both local papers and is open to all media on the city's mail server.
Although it is standard practice not to litigate issues in the press and I am following that general practice as recommended by attorneys, I feel the public has the right to understand my position in regard to the unproven allegations in the current lawsuit, which I am afraid citizens may think are factually accurate.

Vote No on Charter Amendments
I plan to vote no on the two proposed amendments because they make it harder for citizens to make their voices heard.
It is part of the continuing plan, such as increasing the percentage to 60% for a citizen amendment to pass, to centralize power in the Legislature.
